my god! march already?! where did the last 2 months go? lifes been very busy lately, lets see if i can bring you up to speed a bit...where to begin?
valentines day was spent with my boys (and man too!)
our friends saun and kat welcomed baby joseph into the world on valentines day as well (will have pics of bubba soon)
have been seeing alot of this little guy...keiran got his fiirst pair of glasses! he just needs them for reading computers etc and boy was he excited!this little guy is 10 months old!( holy crap, where did that time go?!) he now has 4 teeth, is taking 4 steps at a time and loves standing in the middle of the room dancing to the wiggles! (its hilarius..must catch it on video one day!)
master E split his chin open yesterday at school,( didnt need stitches thank goodness) accident involving his best friends foot and his face! typical boys..from what i was told, he just kept on playing until a teacher saw his chin covered in blood and made him got to the sick bay..and being the macho male he is..protested the whole time cause he didnt want to miss out on play time.
no pics i'm afraid..battery went flat :-(

i have been busy with a few orders and projects as well, but will keep them for another post

i like being organised, i like my layouts and projects to have a "clean and streamlined" look, but thats not my secret...ready for it?

and see that little red circle? thats the total amount of space i have available! the heart with wings is for a project i am working on...yes i am crazy enough that i will wait until i totally run out of room before i will clean up. and hey! some of that stuff isnt even mine! the boxers (clean i promise!) are keirans..why they are on my desk i have no idea...the monkey is evans...and the baby? well ok he is mine, but i didnt put him there! i know its not a huge secret, but it has been a slow news week! lol and i think by posting it here, it will inspire me to tidy up...or not!

look what i made! i am so happy with the way this book turned out, i am not usually a fan of mini albums, but decided to give it a go anyway. i bought the chipboard book with harrys name from the scrap heap and covered it in the crate lil sprout range of papers and glitter diecuts.

harry was finally born at 12.01 am on the 14th may 2009. he weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 49 cm long. no problems at all with the birth, and he was home within 36 hours.
i know i am late, but Thank you to everyone who sent wishes and happy thoughts our way!
harry is doing great , has just started smiling and laughing...let the fun begin!

finally an update!

i have finally got spare time to update!!! so much has happened since my last post..where to start?! might go by the order that it happened i suppose...

***we are finally settled into our new house..we havent done any major reno's yet (like my kitchen! grrrr) but slowly we are putting our personality into it...no rush i guess, but gee it will be nice when we get started! lol . currently trying to source some nice tiles for the toilet floor (starting with the smallest room first!) one of our friends is a really good tiler so we can save heaps of $$ on that part of the budget thank god. we arent in any rush to find the right tile... i will know it when i see it! lol

**zeb had his birthday..happy birthday honey!!!!!

*** we bought a puppy! the boys have been wanting a dog for ages, so we finally got them one! his name is sam, and he is an irish wolfhound cross. i know, i know, he is going to be huge! but how could we resist this little (for now) face?!

***brayden had his birthday as well! happy birthday braybray!!!

***my sister in law had her bubba..a baby boy, his name is zepplan (sorry if i spelt it wrong shelley!)

**and then just 11 days later our bubba arrived!!!!! i might do an extra post just on him in a sec,, so stay tuned!

*** the latest news is that my sister has had her baby too! congrats to hayley and ben on baby syenna rose! she is super cute..but no pics yet..bad aunty tina!lol

***i have also been doing a heap of scrapping...will chuck them on a different post too!

finally time to share the HUGE news!!!!
we have finally bought our very first house!!!!!! we pick up the keys on monday...cant wait!
for the last 2.5 years i have been wanting to purchase, but the timing has never been right and hubby never wanted to, so i had more or less put it down to being a dream that it wouldnt happen for years and years..then hubby surprised me 6 weeks ago by saying he thinks we should buy now, as he thinks it would be a good time! so i jumped into action straight away (before he could change his mind!) organised a mortgage guy to talk to us (hi Ian!!) and we started looking.
the next 2 weeks were full of looking at heaps of houses (and sorry excuses for houses!) but we couldnt find one we agreed on. i was starting to get really frustrated, but we had one more to look at...i wasnt very confident about the last one, i had seen pics on the internet, and it looked foul! but i went anyways :-)
within 20 minutes of walking in, we had put in an offer! it was exactly what we were after - big rooms, huge yard, nice layout, kids loved it...only major drawback was a horrible 1970's kitchen! but seeing potential everywhere i was in love! we have always wanted a house we could do up..now we have one!
we asked for a quick settlement if possible (30 days) because we wanted to be in before bubba arrives! in a million years we never thought we would get it (especially when the owners rejected our first offer!) yay yay yay!
so within the space of 6 weeks..we decided to buy, looked, and bought! only bad thing is we have to keep up the rent on where we are now until someone can take over our lease. hopefully it wont take long!
i will share some pics after the move and once we are settled.

i dont know what compells someone to change computer passwords (and log in names) for 25 preps from 12345 to words with dots slashes etc in it! obviously they didnt realize it took this long to teach them to sign in using an easy password! aaaargggghhhhhhh....
suppose i should explain a bit...every friday morning since school started, i have been helping the preps with their computer class. up until last week, they had learnt how to log on to the computers and access their painting program. this morning, we were told that the whole system has been altered and now the preps have a new log in name and new password that gets changed every 3 weeks! and somehow the computer guy lost their paint program and now its all different!!!! lets just say it was a very loooooong lesson! (probally doesnt help that i havent been sleeping well lately)

will update with more interesting stuff later...busy day ahead! lol

Big congratulations to my little brother Luke and Megan who got married yesterday!
wow, still cant beleive it. i never would have thought that my baby brother (i will always think of him that way, even though he isnt the youngest brother and towers over me! lol) would ever get married..i never thought he would find his "match" someone who would love his quirky ways and very outgoing attitude. someone who would love him for who he is. yep, never would have thought it....until i met Megan! she is just perfect for him. she is just lovely. it is so obvious to everyone how much the two of them are in love. i wish the both of them all the happiness in the world..welcome to the family Megan!
i dont have many pics of the day yet (mum took heaps of pics and i used her camera alot, so stay tuned!) but i do have these..taken by our own budding photographer..lol

we found out! (bubba update)

we now know if our bubba is a pink one or a blue one!....but before i share which one, an update!

i had our 19 week ultra sound yesterday..{keiran came with me } baby is doing great..but in a breech (which apparently is weird according to technician..it should be side to side) but on the plus side, that explains the pains (which are kicks) down low and my sore side is due to bubba headbutting my uterus! (it happened during the scan as well...aparently it likes smooshing its face into my side much to the techies amusement!) ..he also said its gonna be a big one! (if it keeps going the way it is!)

heart beat is 143bpm..see?

and some adorable feet (which made me tear up as soon as i saw them!..i love baby feet!!!)
the techie reccommended having another scan for 24 weeks just to get some clearer pics of the cord etc..as if i am going to pass up another chance to see bubba before its born! so hopefully have more pics then.

boy!!!!

i have to admit i was a bit upset ...for about 5 seconds!!! (this pregnancy is sooooo different from the boys, i was sure it was gonna be a pink one!)but i know how to deal with boys!!! i am so excited now though! kerian thinks its great that now mummy is the only girl and boys are still winning! we have bought the first blue outfit as well (keiran was horrified that the baby is naked!lol)

bubby update...

we are now at a bit over 16 weeks and so far everythings going perfectly., blood pressure is now perfect (it was a little high at one stage) morning sickness stopped at exactly 13 weeks. i still havent put on any weight at all...(just keep loosing it, which is great! lol) (probally helps i cant stand chocolate, kfc,pizza, or anything sweet, or meat, and i am still off caffiene! and i crave green vegies and garlic bread!)i now have a preggy belly though! not much, but it is definately there! lol. i have managed to get booked in for a hospital visit in the next couple of weeks, and we have another scan on the 18th dec..hopefully find out if its a pink one or blue one.
will probally do another update after the next scan...but we will see how we go!

i have had to put up a disclaimer over on the sidebar, due to my images being used for other sites. please dont use any of my images and pass them off as your own. at least acknowledge where you got it from. i dont mind people casing my work (acknowledgement would be nice however) as i know "everyone" has done it at least a few times to get mojo started etc...but copying and pasting my photos and using them for classes or personal gain (without asking first) is just not on. i create not only for myself, but also for di hickman and the scrap heap, so not only are some people stealing my images..they are stealing theirs too.

i had blood tests done last week...all good.....i also had a scan! it turns out i was not over 12 weeks last week....i was only 10!!!!!!! i couldnt believe it!i even asked her to check, because my dates are always so accurate!!! turns out, this bub was conceived very late (which is another sign it MAY be a pink one!) (both my boys date dates were perfect!) so now i have to have another scan next week :-( but its all good cause mum can come to that one! (much to her dimay, she missed the "12 week" one! lol)
other news...still getting morning/noon/night sickness...hopefully clear up soon

i scrapped up a storm last weekend....the scrap heap had a vc on for all the gals that couldnt make it to swig...i cant share it all just yet but stay tuned as i will be sharing alot over the next week or so! but i cant leave this post without sharing something! (sorry about the bad pic!)

this is a layout i did for the challenge to create about 18....hmmm was a bit stuck until i remembered that evan was born on lukes (my brother) 18th!

i used some of the beautiful paper i had been hoarding for awhile and even managed to use some lettering i have had for years!!!

i used kaiser papers, mm black paint, kaiser bling, black lettering, and i think thats it.

i just love the way this one turned out! i combined daily challenge #3 (scrap about toys or an animal) with monthly #1 (zagged edge)

i actually remembered to keep track of what i used on this one so i do have an ingredient list! -

ingredients - java and white cardstock, chatterbox papers - botanico (tapestry, stripe and green oak) stampin up stamps (classic numbers) chocolate chip ink (su) bella bling brads, and thickers lettering. the journalling was printed onto reflex.

i am back on track with layouts! i have signed up for the monthly and daily challenges over at the scrap heap again (havent done these for ages!) and rather that posting all the layouts i have done since friday at once (and i have done quite a few!)...i thought i would showcase them out over a few days!

so heres the layout i did for daily challenge #1 (use vintage trim)that also doubles up for monthly challenge #8 (case the layout shown below)

i put the corner thru the cuttlebug (swiss dots) to get these cute dots...and was very impressed at my ribbon tying skills! lol

i distressed and scrunched circles to get a cool look, and added some buttons from my stash (yay! i used buttons!)

yeah yeah, i know, i am slack! i dont know where all my time has gone lately, but there as soooo not enough hours in a day to get stuff done! can you beleive it is the end of july already!??! not much scrapping done here lately, only a couple of layouts that i cant share yet :-( i have done a few cards though! check out my other blog if you want to see here there will be more cards coming (thanks to scheduled posts!) so keep an eye open!

evan broke his thumb! he broke it on the 18th, but bad mother i am i didnt take any pics. it is healing beautifully now (the nail is black though!), he is using his thumb again and as far as we know, not causing him any discomfort.

i have been wanting to scrap these pics of keiran being a wild monkey for ages. it was hilarius! he was eating pizza for lunch and he suddenly stopped and jumped onto the table and started making monkey noises! i have no idea what goes on in his head sometimes...must get that from his father! lol

i have been wanting these boots like, forever! but at $80 a pair i couldnt quite bring myself to buy them (my last boots i loved only cost me $30 and they lasted ages!) but when i went to the shops and saw them on sale for $39!!!!!!! i knoew i had to have them right then! i love them.

another layout i have recently done and love! i know it is a really corny title...but it seems to fit!

this layout was super easy and took no time at all to do. i used basic grey papers and thickers lettering inked with a little ink, throw on a bit of bling...done!

i recently bought some Tim Holtz Grungeboard at my Lss.....i have seen this on the net alot over the last few months but i had never seen it irl before...until now!

i bought some sheets individually first (the stripe and swirls) as i thought they were really cheap ($1.75 each) and a good way to play with some before i committed to a packet! well i only lasted 10 minutes before i got myself a big box with swirls and elements! i love this stuff...it feels and smells like leather...it holds ink really well and the embossed ones just look fantastic! the price at my Lss was pretty cheap ($14.95 for the box with 94 shapes) i thought....if you are after something a little different...definately try this stuff...it is excellent!

we have a new addition to our little family! his name is.

....Buggy!!!

yep, i am now the proud owner of a cuttlebug...and it feels pretty darn good! lol i got him from my Lss on friday night,...bargain i thought at $99 and also picked up 3 embossing folders to go with it! i have been having so much fun with it...and keiran even knows how to use it now!

i cant wait to get my nesties now too!

big thanks to mum (for leting me "rent try buy" off her! lol) and maree (for convincing me to buy it! lol) and of course barb (for selling it so cheap in the first place!)

yep, i have purple hair! not nice subtle purple, think kids poster paint purple! and i LOVE it! *note - its not 100 percent purple, just a bit of it!lol*

umm other news...keiran is hoping to have his first soccer game this saturday, poor little guy, he was supposed to have it last week, but the weather has been awful! i never thought i would be a soccer mum, but it happened! all i need now is a 4wd and i am set!
evan news - not much happening with him atm, his birthday is in less than 3 weeks....stay tuned on that front!

after a bit of a break from blogging (while i got my life back on track) i am back! did you miss me? lots has happened the last few weeks..but will go into that later...

i was browsing all the blogs i sub to this morning....(looking for motivation to actually do something today!lol) when i spied that Chrissy had thrown out a challenge to bake something and share a recipe...(well i took it as a challenge! lol) she shared a recipe for some beautiful looking cookies (that are freezer friendly!) that i am sooo going to make this week sometime...anyways...i made a yummy apple slice for lunchboxes last night so i thought i would share...

its quite an old recipe ( well 1995!) from a family circle test kitchen cookbook mum used to bake from when i was a still at home.

APPLE SLICE

ingredients -

1 cup plain flour, 1 cup SR flour, 155g butter,1/2 cup caster sugar, 1 tsp vanilla essence,1 egg, bit of milk if needed, 8oog tin pie apple, extra sugar for sprinkling.

preheat oven to 180 degrees, line a slice tin .

sift flours together. beat butter and sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy.add vanilla and egg, beat well. gently fold in flours. if mixture is too dry add a little milk to make a soft pastry.

turn onto a lightly floured board and push together until just smooth. divide dough in half, cover with cling wrap and put in fridge for 30 mins.

roll out each bit of pastry to fit the tin. put 1 piece of pastry in tin as the base. spread with the pie apple, top with the second sheet of pastry. sprinkle the top with some sugar.

bake for 35 minutes or until golden. leave in tin for 20 minutes before lifting out. cut into squares to serve.

thats it! how easy is that! and it is soooooo yummy!!!

i know i havent blogged in what feels like months and months...but life has been soooo busy....and i have photos to prove it!!!

where to begin?????

we went up to visit gina a few weekends ago. she lives a good 3 hours north of us and i havent been to her new place since she moved....so zeb thought it would be a great idea to visit before she has her bubba (less than 2 weeks away now!) and to give matti-zeek his birthday present in person. this was a totally spur of the moment decision...and we had to make sure we were back that evening as keiran was spending the night at nanna's...so it definately had to be a day trip...only problem...we only decided to go at 10 am; the kids had never been that far in a car before and keiran sometimes get car sick; and i dont travel very well! lets just say it was a very long day!!!! but on the plus side...no one was sick!!! not even me! (it probally helped that i made sure i was dosed up on herron before we left and at the first sign of a headache i took more!)

once we got to ginas, i made sure i got lots of pics (although tamika fell asleep just before we got there so no pics of her!) and we couldnt believe how grown up hannah looked!!!! she got her hair cut short..and it suits her so much...see???

matti loved his huge toy truck we got him for his birthday -

we headed home at about 3.30 thinking the boys would at least have a nap in the car...nope.....keiran talked almost the whole way home!!!!we got to nannas just in time for him to watch gladiators...his favourite show!

thunder (centre front) is his idol atm and when we tell him its time for bed afterwards he salutes us and says "sir. yes sir!" like tank (very back on the left!)

we have also discovered that evan loves reading..not that he can read yet...and mummys books are his favourite...this is how i find him at least once a day -

happy mothers day for yesterday too! - we went to underwater world on saturday for mothers day (zeb thought it would be too crowded on the sunday!) it was a lovely day filled with seals (which evan insisted that they be called goldfish!lol) fish, sharks etc etc...

here are my fave pics from the day (this seal kept following the boys around the side of the tank!)-

and inside another tank..the boys thought this was awesome!

and just a quick pic of evan at the park the other day...he asked for a photo!

that should do for the blogging today...we have done so much other stuff but will save it for now! we could be here all week lol.

p.s - is it just me or does Aaron Eckhart look like a young harrison ford? i watched a bit of indianna jones the other day (i know...so ooo not my type of movie!) and i thought harrison ford was aaron eckhart! cant see exactly what i mean from these pics but if you know who i am talking about i swear they could be related! what do you think?

blogger is finally playing nice again, so here is that layout from the otherday i promised -

i love the paper...it is kaisercraft.....didnt have to do much with it to make it work for the pic, i just added some lettering, scrap card and a few flowers, topped it off with some doodling...and voila! all done!

i also finished this layout the other day too.(sorry about all the shaddows) it was for a challenge over at the scrap heap..(use ribbon and flowers on a male layout.) i think i managed to pull it off...what do you think?

thats it for today though, i am hoping to scrap today if little mr E has a nap.

life has been a bit busy lately, so sorry for the lack of posts! before i get into all that though...the pay it forward thing....i am still waiting on 1 more person to comment on that post and then i will have the 3 needed! come on people...who wants a present???!!! in the meantime though...Cassie (who wrote - Hi! ok now some more news...i have scrapped at last! seems like forever that i have done a page...will do another post with pics after this one! i ahve done heaps pf cards though...will post them on my other blog here and i am now on the road! i finally have my learners permit! shocking i know. i am 27 yrs old but have only lately wanted to drive. so watch out everyone!!! lol
other than that though,...i have been busy organizing fete stuff for school. i dropped off a box of cards for our stall on wednesday... and the rest of the committee loved them so much, they asked if i would be able to make all the thank you cards for the sponsors!! will find out the deets next week.

first up...a big happy birthday to miss Tamika!!!! it was her first birthday yesterday. i had her and her brother Matti - zeek while their mummy was at the hospital (she and bubs are fine!) we had a cruisy day...her new outfit we got her fits beautifully (see the first pic)!!!! i went a bit crazy with photos (its not everyday i get a very obliging 1 year old girl model!!! lol) keiran was so excited to see her after school...he insisted on carrying her around everywhere. she has grown so much since we last saw her at xmas.

other news...it is raining AGAIN!!!! pouring down in fact. heres some layouts i have done for this month too...nothing spectacular...but time has been tight. but i did manage to finish all my monthly challenges by the 15th this month

1 - i hate raw wood...really hate it. i hate sanding chipboard because it smells the same and i even have a plastic rubon stick because i cant use the wooden sticks that come with most rubons. i cant even finish an icecream all the way down to the stick because the thought of licking the stick makes me gag...gross!
2 - my fingernails grow faster on my left hand than on my right
3 - i love buying hats...not neccesarily adult hats but i LOVE buying kids hats...my boys have so many (and you should have seen how many of their baby hats i gave away when they grew out of them!) i am addicted!

5 - last night i encouraged my hubby to drink more beer just so i could collect the beer caps for keirans prep

i love it...and according to keiran, it goes sooooo fast! (but compared to the magna, anything goes fast!lol) its a ford falcon forte (1999 model) it only had 130,000kms on it when we got it...bargain!

in other big news...keiran has lost his first tooth! it happened friday after school, this was the only reasonably good shot i managed to get of his mouth...he wanted to be a silly model.

its gone!

our adventure with the magna has finally come to an end! we bought this car 6 years ago (secondhand) and since then we have had 5 1/2 years of trouble with it. in December i finally decided enough was enough and me and the kids we never getting in it again! it was just getting too scary...the wheels kept wobbling (for no apparent reason), if it was a cold day it wouldn't start for ages, if it was a hot day, it wouldn't start for ages! just to name a few problems, and i was sick and tired of getting wet whenever it rained!!! (leak right above my seat ) although saying that, i was a bit sad to see it go... we bought it when i was pregnant with Keiran (Zeb used to have a tiny corolla...very cute..but not exactly baby seat friendly!) so both boys grew up with it. (and took great pride in washing it every few weeks!) i think my dad will miss it in his own way too! he loved teasing Zeb about the "crappy magna" every opportunity he got...don't know what he will tease him about now its gone! although...Zeb did manage to almost KILL us on mum and dads driveway on the weekend! lol well maybe not kill us...but it was scary! lol

Zeb decided to reverse down their driveway after our visit....no big deal apart from the fact it is very steep..and windy...and has a sheer drop on the side where if we fell over we would certainly die! (well dad assures me it is only a 2 metre drop and we wouldn't die...but i stand to differ!!!)..anyway he starts reversing, miss judges it, takes out one of dads trees, kills a solar light and churns up the dirt...only thing stopping us from plummeting to death is a big rock. but on the bright side...dad helped him get it out...and they didn't even scratch the car! well done old chaps!

anyway enough car talk for today....i have 2 ill little boys home today :(

miss me?

so much has happened since my last post.

keiran has started Prep..he loves it heaps.he has settled in really well (considering he lost his voice and was sick the first week) and has already made so many new friends.

the whole family has been sick with the flu, we have had the ambulance over to our house (keiran had trouble breathing due to the flu) evan has been to the hospital ( spots everywhere and lethargic..docs said it was a mystery virus...still dont know what it was) and that was all the week school started!!!.

Aussie day was heaps of fun. we ended up having a bbq at federation park. the councils bbq brekky was held there in the morning, so when we got there, there was gazebo's music everything there..even a jumping castle!! but by 10.30 we were the only ones there. mum and dad met us there with cam aaryn emily and bray. it was really nice. we played cricket and listened to jjj all day....lovely day. love this pic of evan...lamingtons and a flag...cant get much more aussie than that really! (***disclaimer - i know you can get more aussie...maybe riding a kangaroo while eating a pie and watching footy etc etc, but this was the best we could do under the circumstances!!!)

i have been very busy creating cards for my other blog , done a few otp's (which i cant share yet!)as well as lots of layouts. heres a few -

ummm what else? i got a new scrapping desk yesterday...well sort of new...off freecycle. its a white laminate one, a bit wider than my old one, so makes a huge difference. fantastic condition, well it was until we got caught in the storms bringing it home! luckily (amazingly) it only had minimal water damage on th back edge, but now my stuff is on it, you cant tell!

that will have to be it for today though...well done for reading this far!!

my Mil has gone at last! yay!!! for those of you who know my mil....you know why i am so excited...for those of you who dont know her...lucky you!! lol

i suppose a bit of background info is required...she rang dh on monday night, and asked if she could stay the night on wednesday to leave on thursday. dh said ok (because 1 night is tolerable!lol) needless to say, she turned up at 9 am tuesday morning, and has just left (12pm friday afternoon!) all this time, i havent been able to scrap (she is in my studio) or have 10mins to myself (although she did go shopping for a couple of hours on wednesday) so i have been going crazy!! and to top it all off..it has been pouring with rain all week so the kids are going crazy too!

thank god i have the gals coming over soon (5 1/2 hours and counting!loL) to scrap. i still have to work out how to get my heavy table back in there by myself before they get here...no doubt dh will be working late again...aarrrrrgh what a week.

ok enough venting..

no pages made lately (if you need a reason see above!lol)luckily i made some cards in advance for the challenges on my other blog so some creative viewing has been released from my computer. you can check them out here . i have made up 7 packs ready to scrap with, so i might sneak in a quick scrap while the kids are being good!
